Unit III- Early Church
Overview
The
book of Acts gives a brief history of the beginning and the
expansion of the early church from Jerusalem to Rome. The
descent of the Holy Spirit empowered the apostles and launched
them into the fulfillment of the Great Commission. As the Church
grew, they faced great opposition and persecution. However, God
powerfully used several apostles to reach the Jews and Gentiles
alike. God used Paul to undertake several missionary journeys
and to establish churches. Your study of this unit should enable
you to rely on the Holy Spirit and motivate you to obey the
great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
